Our Solution
The City received a grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture, Community Enhancement Grant Fund (CEF) for a Civic Center - Library - Storm Shelter facility.
The library was established and continues to grow solely by the donations of the citizens of East Tawakoni. This facility will provide a location for city functions, civic clubs, and other organizations. But most importantly it will provide shelter to victims of hazardous weather.
The design of this new facility involved six professional disciplines – architectural, civil, electrical, mechanical, geotechnical, and structural engineering. As well as providing the surveying, civil engineering, bidding and construction administration Hayter Engineering managed the communication, coordination and execution of services for all of these disciplines.
