Our Solution

Hayter Engineering assisted the City of Winnsboro with the application, design and construction observation of a 5’ wide pedestrian sidewalk and pedestrian bridges along FM 515 and Highway 37. The project was partially funded by Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP). The sidewalk facility allows for the safe passage of children and residents from surrounding neighborhoods to access two school campuses and the local business district in town.

Improvements included:

  • 2 pedestrian bridges

  • 3,344 LF of 5’ concrete sidewalk

  • 337 LF of 12” to 36” RC Pipe

  • 8 stormwater inlet boxes

  • 246 SY of concrete driveway

  • 7 curb ramps

  • 178 LF Cross Walk Striping
