Our Solution

The City of Cooper’s water treatment plant was expanded to 2.5 MGD to comply with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality standards through grant and loan funding from the USDA Rural Development.

Improvements included a new raw water pump station, a new chemical feed system building, 1.5 MGD filter and clarifier structures, air scour blower, a new 350,000 gallon ground storage tank, new high service pumps and building, turbidity monitors on all filter cells, and the addition of loss of head gauges on old filter cells.

Also added: 16” blow down pipeline, new metal roof on the control building, alum & caustic quick connect piping, sludge spraying system to empty lagoons, computer equipment, with electrical and controls.
