New Paris Junior College residence halls makes high quality on-campus living available to more students.

Our Solution

Hayter Engineering worked closely with Denny Architects providing the civil site design for a new residence hall for Paris Junior College (PJC) in Paris, Texas.

The college was established in 1924, continues to grow, and with that growth new housing was needed for full-time students.

In 2010, the new South Campus Residence Hall was completed and opened its doors with 60 beds for women residents in August of that year. In 2011, a second wing was opened with 64 new beds for men.

The infrastructure was designed keeping in mind future expansion of facilities for the college. PJC borders on the Trail de Paris, a biking and walking trail that extends through the City and beyond. Easements were obtained for PJC and the City of Paris for 18” - 36” diameter storm drainage pipes for drainage of the dormitory site which also helped the drainage for the Trail.
