Public fishing pier which is handicap accessible is added to recreational activities available at Lake Crook in Paris, Texas.

Our Solution

A new Texas Parks & Wildlife Department grant funded pier for Lake Crook was planned and designed to replace an old pier that was deteriorating. The City of Paris desired to have a great place for fishing once again on Lake Crook.

Hayter Engineering was hired to design the superstructure to be a combination of treated lumber and, “Trex,” composite material. The pier is supported on wooden piles. Included are handicap accessible sections of railing, approach sidewalks and adjacent parking area designed to meet the Texas Accessibility Standards. The pier is 80 feet long and 8 feet wide, and 28 feet wide at the “T.”
