City of Paris extends the Trail de Paris section of the 135 mile Northeast Texas Trail connecting to the Reno, Texas section including a bridge over US Highway 271.

Our Solution

Hayter Engineering volunteered its grant application services for the Bridge over US 271 for the Trail de Paris by preparing the Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program Nomination Form in 2006 in conjunction with the City of Paris. Once the grant was received Hayter Engineering was retained to provide engineering services. These included selecting and obtaining quotes for the pre-engineered bridge, designed abutments and retaining walls, and reviewed submittals.

0.8 Mile Extension

Hayter Engineering provided preliminary engineering, design, design surveys, cost estimates, bid & award documents and construction review for the east extension of the 12 foot wide Trail from the Bridge over US 271 towards Reno. This included approximately 6,632 SY of 4" crushed aggregate base and 6,571 of 2" hot-mixed asphalt wearing surface.
