Topographic survey for 30 miles of water and sewer line improvements in the City of Paris, Texas.

Our Solution

The City of Paris has undertaken a $35 million dollar water and sewer system rehabilitation project as part of their Capital Improvements Plan (CIP). Hayter Engineering has teamed with AECOM providing engineering and surveying services for this project.

This project consists of approximately 30 miles of water and sewer pipe. Hayter Engineering provided the surveying data collection, utility coordination, and surveying for all of these lines.

Hayter Engineering designed 64,200 LF of water main (6” to 12”) and sanitary sewer main (6” to 10”) replacement. Additionally, Hayter Engineering assisted with the bidding and construction management services.

Most line replacement routes were located in tight right-of-ways. For water lines, in some cases due to the lack of available open right-of-way, this required the installation of a temporary ground level water line so the new line could be installed in the same location as the existing line while maintaining service to customers.

Hayter Engineering has provided construction layout services to three different construction companies to help ensure the proper installation of the designed utilities, and is currently working with the remaining construction company to provide construction layout services for the rest of the lines that have yet to be installed.
