Two lane road converted to five lanes with storm sewer to accommodate new high school campus.

Our Solution

Hayter Engineering, in conjunction with the City of Paris completed a new high school complex for Paris ISD on the south Loop 286. On the west side of the high school campus, South Collegiate Drive needed to be improved to accommodate the traffic for the high school.

The project involved widening 2,250 LF of a two lane gravel/dirt road to a five lane asphalt road with curb and gutter, and storm sewer, and reconstructing 2,300 LF of a two lane asphalt road to a three lane asphalt road.

Improvements included 21,515 SY of 8" lime stabilized subbase; 16,915 SY of 8" asphalt base; 15,664 SY of 2" asphalt wearing surface; 4,178 SY of concrete paving; 3,510 LF of curb & gutter; 1,255 LF of 60" RCP storm sewer; 1,311 LF of 18" through 48" storm sewer; 293 LF of 8" C900 DR 18 PVC water main; and 325 LF of 8" SDR PVC gravity sewer.

Hayter Engineering coordinated this project with TxDOT, the City of Paris, and Paris ISD.
