Eleven lift stations were rehabilitated to meet Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and National Electric Code requirements.

Our Solution

Hayter Engineering provided the engineering support for the City of East Tawakoni to successfully apply to the Texas Department of Agriculture, Community Development Block Grant for improvements to eleven of the City’s aged and dilapidated waste water collection system lift stations.

This project was undertaken to address the need for rehabilitation of 11 existing wastewater lift stations. Particular improvements included eight lift stations receiving new duplex submersible grinder pumps; discharge piping, electrical improvements, and pump control float switches. Two of the 11 lift stations were replaced with full, above ground package lift stations with self priming pumps, which included all electrical controls, and a removable fiberglass protective cover. One lift station received electrical control rehabilitation only.

Hayter also provided lift station startup services, which included the verification of pump operation and capacity, and the proper operation of the float control switches and warning alarms.
