To meet the demands of their expanding system, Emory purchased this elevated tank from a neighboring system. This project raised the tank to allow it to operate in conjunction with their downtown elevated tank.

Our Solution

The FM 515 elevated tank was constructed in 1987 and was recently purchased by the City of Emory. It was necessary to raise it and rehabilitate the storage tank before repainting. The City sold bonds to finance this project in order to meet Texas Commission on Environmental Quality regulations and standards.

The elevated storage tank was raised and footing adjustments were made. The tank was repainted on the interior and exterior. Hayter Engineering coordinated with and electrical engineer for the electrical & SCADA modifications.

Photos above show the progress and work being performed. The photo at left shows the finished elevated storage tank completed and newly painted.
